December Wrap-Up

Whunf! The copy-edits and tweaks to both Woman’s Work (Shikhari 4) and Merchant and Empire (Merchant and Magic 4) are done and awaiting covers and formatting. I’ll format them when I get the covers.

I’ve started the fifth Shikhari book, and need to do some research in my rapidly shrinking free time. It’s been a while since I read Hopkirk.

I don’t know if there will be more Familiars in the near future.

The last Colplatschki book will come out later this spring.

  1. “No More Familiars”!!!

That can’t be true!!!! Please give us more familiars! [Pleading Look]

Seriously, take care and rest while you can. 😀

    • Shikhari Five grabbed me. I don’t know what will come after that in terms of writing, or if I will get to a certain point and stop for research, writing the next Familiars book and/or short stories during the research lull. Crunch at work will be Jan-early April. Once we get past that, things ease up (aside from a Massive Choral Concert).

  2. A busy year you’ve had. Busy and successful.

I hope there are more Familiars stories coming, but I understand that alas, you can’t always control your muse(s).

  3. I’m really looking forward to the next Shikari book. I don’t know when a series has grabbed me more. As a former Navy brat the background rings extremely true and the flavor of Kipling fits perfectly. Thank you.

  4. I have long been amused by the Familiars series and have been pondering if a “rideable” Familiar would actually permit riding (other than in Dire Emergencies, that is). That presumes such a creature might exist in that Universe, and, well, it’s NOT *my* Universe, now is it?

  5. Also, I *REALLY* like the Familiars series… BUT..I would rather it go silent than become horribly strained and descend into the (Not So) Great Wrongness. So… THANK YOU.
