  1. Dang they really are getting closer to year around schools aren’t they? Back when I was started school it started around the first of October, by the time I graduated it was starting the third or fourth week of September. Now it starts in August.

    And it isn’t because it they are getting out earlier, either.

  2. Never took latin, only picked up a few words here and there.
    I know Felis = cat.
    Fortis .. .. = strong? (looks/sounds similar to Fortissimo, which I remember from Chorus as “strongly / with strength” or volume) [odd how much I remember from 35 years ago.]

    Felis Et Fortis = Strength of a cat? Strong as a Cat?

    • The first two weeks are easy. Then comes the first major test, followed by . . . Parents’ Night. *cue foreboding musical tag here*
